Hotel Remodel

The Marriott has been remodeling the Salon area (where most of our activities other than RPGs take place), and rooms 156 and 157 (The Animé room and the Seminar room).

The DunDraCon committee visited the hotel on January 8th to see what had been done, and to make changes as needed in our procedures.

The easy changes:

The main Salon area (A-G)

Salon 1 (Board Games), Salon 2 (Kids Room)

Salon 1 (the board games room) was widened a little, but the hotel removed the bathrooms that were attached to it. Con guests will have access to the bathrooms off the front lobby, near the Stixx and Steaks restaurant, and the ones at the back, opposite Salon F. The space looks huge in the picture because the retractable air wall between Salon 1 and Salon 2 is open, and we're discussing some ideas about that....

Information/Volunteers/Game Reg

The old office used by Convention Registration opposite Salon C was totally removed, and a new alcove installed. This will be the location of the Information Table/Volunteers HQ, Games Reg. and LARP central (We're still working on exactly how that will work...)

Convention Registration will be in the main hotel lobby, across from the hotel front desk, where the Information table used to be.

The other change was removing the bathrooms and bar from rooms 156 and 157. This gives us more room in those rooms.
