The Year is 179 A.D. and Marcus Aurelius is The Emperor of Rome. By Decree he as made all people living within Roman controlled lands a Roman Citizen. This expansion of Citizenship of Rome has made the empire stronger. During his reign Emperor Aurelius also initiated various reforms to the Legions of Rome, forever known afterwards as the Marian Reforms. Secretly Marcus Aurelius also established cohorts of specially trained operatives. Officially attached to the Pretorian Guard these Roman Citizens are recruited from throughout the Empire. These gifted and talented individuals are assigned missions to find and confront horrors from this world and and Beyond.
