Reserve a Board or Card Game Table Before the Con
If you’ve purchased a full membership, you have a chance to reserve a spot in the Sedona Room for one board or card game, for 2, 3, or 4 hours, depending on the game you choose. This game can be completely private, or you can attract additional players by putting up a ‘players wanted’ sign.
Criteria
- All games must be listed as published on Board Game Geek and seat at least two players besides yourself.
- Sign up with your membership number. If we reject your application because there is no space available at your preferred time, you can re-submit, up to the closing date.
- Selection is not strictly first-come, first-serve, but the sooner you get in a request, the more likely you are to get a spot. We do not fill the Sedona room to the gills with Official Games and reserved spaces, as we also want to cater to those who are spontaneously looking for a table to play at. All space will probably be gone by December 1st.
What table will you get? That’s our choice and can’t be switched, though we will accommodate those with mobility issues if possible when you report them.
Note! Run the listed game! We reserve the right to shut down games that do not match the listing or that fail to seat at least two players besides the player with the reservation. Players must all be full or one-day DDC members.
Process
To reserve a table in the Sedona Room for a game, fill out all the following information. If you have incomplete information, we’ll have to kick this back to you to get what we need. Nobody is going to see your name except us, and the other information is important for us to vet your request.
- If you don’t have a badge number yet, we can’t schedule you.
- This form may be used to request one reservation. Subject to supply, if we can’t schedule you at the time you request, we’ll let you know and you can ask for a different time.
- Each reservation must be 2, 3 or 4 hours, consistent with Board Game Geek listings (but we are willing to fudge a little on the long side). This program isn’t right for longer games; we want to encourage play of smaller games (at least 60-90 minutes and not more than 4 hours, seating at least 3 players).
- Your game may be entirely private, or you may post a ‘Players Wanted’ sign on the table if you need/want more players than you have.
If you have any questions, or wish to modify or remove a listing, send a note to our table scheduler explaining what you'd like done.
