SciFi adventure using a very simple system called Stars Without Number closely related to OSR D&D. Think classic Traveller and Firefly and the melancholy SciFi that inspired them. Your tramp freighter hides some surprises … a couple of big guns, advanced sensors, an impressive little laboratory, a proper sickbay, even a plush meeting room. More important than all this, you carry a trader’s license, a letter of marque, and a writ allowing you to survey and explore, and thereby win General Knowledge bounties. Your crew is an odd collection, all with just a few things in common: you want to get paid, keep flying, and along the way, live by a code or serve a higher cause. But whose code or cause prevails? Captainless, you’ll have to figure it out among yourselves. Pick from pre-gens and we’ll warp to someplace in crisis depending on player interest and familiarity. As a GM I’m trying to provide an interesting situation where I don’t know what’s going to happen. So this is a good game for both experienced and absolute beginner players who can make bold choices and use their voices, chew some scenery, BS some science, and turn the scenario into a story. You can play this game multiple times; there are many worlds to visit, where you may find the Snow Moas of Air-Loom, the House of Echoes, the Sleeping Sands of Blackmoon, the Death Station, Savage Salvage, the Stygian Library, and, of course, ¡Bugs!
